Wes Spears
CEO

Wes founded The Weston Group in 1992 to improve the use of technology in healthcare organizations. His passion is teaching individuals and organizations to reach their goals and objectives through the use of technology, a practice he continues today. Wes holds a Bachelor of Computer Engineering degree from Auburn University.

Wes extends his mission to develop The Weston Group by selecting talented team members who are supported by capable managers. He is driven to develop processes and approaches that provide a pattern of continual and repeatable successes. Wes believes that predictability in technology helps the customer so they can focus on their jobs more effectively.

Marco Gonzalez
President

Marco leads The Weston Group with his diversified skills formed at Baylor College of Medicine and expanded in his 10+ years of hands-on work with clients at The Weston Group. Marco enjoys helping clients solve problems they don’t even know they have by being proactive. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from the University of Houston.

Marco’s extensive knowledge of healthcare practice management and long-term relationships with practice managers gives him a unique perspective on healthcare consulting and IT services. He has worked with both large and small practices and can immediately sense what they need, whether the subject is planning or daily operations. His experience, professional attitude and his outstanding customer service make him a valuable asset who is always leading clients into the path of new technology and efficient business practices.

“I enjoy helping people effect change. My job is technical and creative at the same time. When I can build a relationship with a client based on technical expertise and use creativity to help them solve a unique problem, I feel that I’ve done my job.”

 

Brad Larkin
Vice President Software Development

Brad brings a diverse background to The Weston Group. He has earned both an MBA from Rice University and an Aerospace Engineering degree from UCLA. He was an Infantry Officer in the Marines where his tour of duty included the first Gulf War.

Brad has 10 years of experience in healthcare business operations and software development that supports these operations. He brings a strong ability to assist clients in developing and documenting business processes. By collaborating with clients, Brad can more efficiently develop systems to support their processes and business needs. He directs the ongoing training and cross-training program at Weston Group to help best support client needs.

Monica J. de la Cerda
Manager of Technical Services

Monica, a native Houstonian, earned her Bachelors in Business Administration with a Major in Computer Information Systems from the University of Houston Downtown, graduating with honors. She is currently completing her Master in Business Administration at the University of St. Thomas.

Monica was part of the original team that executed Ineedadoc.com, the first nationally localized doctor search engine on the web. Her background includes Director of Web Services at IP2M, which was later acquired by Healthcare Dialog, an ad agency based in New York City. There she managed the online pharmaceutical and specialized doctor services traffic. Monica later formed Calls Work, LLC, a dedicated inbound call center that provided solutions for hospitals and doctor groups by offering functional expertise, industry knowledge and project management programs. From its marketing efforts, Calls Work, LLC increased service levels & conversion rates which improved client revenues.

Monica works with healthcare companies in establishing and building more valuable and longer lasting relationships with physicians, patients and consumers over a broad array of contact points including, technical and business based services.
